Bantam Girls Rep, 2013-2014 (Walkerton Minor Hockey Association)

The Walkerton Rep Girls have played five games so far this month.  There has been some great competition and the girls have answered the call.  They have played very well during this stretch and have been in every game right down to the final buzzer.

The Walkerton Bantam Girls recently participated in the Woodstock tournament.  They made it to the finals with wins over Petrolia and South Bruce to face off against Ayr.  After a hard fought battle and end to end action, the girls ended up losing in a close match. 

After the dividing of the Bantam division, the girls are playing against a few new teams as well as continuing battles with teams they have played before.  It is a fresh start for the girls and they have accepted the challenge.  Over the holidays they have played four games providing many goals and exciting action.

The Walkerton Bantam Rep Girls participated in the Markham hockey tournament early in December and skated away with silver medals.  It was a great weekend and the girls skated hard and played well as a team.

The Bantam Girls Rep team is ready to start the second half of their season.  The Bantam girls league was divided into three groups.  After two months of play, the league has divided the teams into different groups, depending on their standings in the first half.  Walkerton will play against some of the same teams as well as facing off against some new opponents.  To end off the first half the girls played three great games and hope to use that momentum towards their second half of the season.
