Walkerton Holds On To Their Come From Behind Win
Walkerton was outshot by Hanover in the first period resulting in a two goal lead for Hanover at the end of a slow paced first period.  The words of their coaches must have been a wake up call because Walkerton forged ahead showing better teamwork and passing in the second period.

Ryan Goetz narrowly missed on a redirect from Noah Currie to start the second period and Brenden Hinds was robbed on a shot too. It was a pass from Tanner Stumpfle as Joel Pletch skated hard down the left side which opened the scoring for Walkerton at 12:26 of the second. The tying goal came at 4:01 in the second frame. Jordan Lang had a chance that barely missed and Noah Currie scooped up the rebound and potted a goal for the Walkerton team, making it 2-2. Denver Turnbull and Pletch tried to advance the score for Walkerton, along with a wrap around move by Hinds, but both opportunities were denied. Offensive chances by Rich and Illerbrunn were also stopped.
To start the third period, Ryan Goetz and Lang teamed up, but came up short. Lang responded with an unassisted, gritty goal, making it 3-2 for Walkerton.  Minutes later, Stumpfle passed to Turnbull, who fed it to Lang. Lang maneuvered into Hanover's zone, zigzagged around their defense and shot one high to the right. This goal secured a 4-2 lead for the Prestige boys.  A quality shot by Rich from Dietz was pushed aside by Hanover's goaltender.  Hanover was held back as they applied pressure and both teams scrambled to retrieve control of the game. Illerbrunn, Lang and Crummer teamed up and forced a play. Hanover quickly responded with some action of their own. Jayden Dietz's defensive skills along with Jared Pletch's prevented several chances. Jared Pletch sprawled to make a save and the rebound was banged in by Hanover at 5:01 of the third. Hanover pulled their goalie but Walkerton held on to the 4-3 win into the dying seconds of the game.
