Cuneo Atoms met for their first match up in an early morning pairing against the Mildmay Monarchs. The first period Mildmay was very successful in keeping a very determined Walkerton Cuneo team at bay, with quick forwards and a job well done by a skilled goal tender. However with less than four minutes in the second period, Cuneo saw their opportunity for their rush at the Mildmay goal; Christopher Cormack drove the puck through the Mildmay defence with Mackenzie McTeer driving with him. Mother Nature wasn't the only force willing to bring on the fog. Walkerton Cuneo Atoms came into Mount Forest like the warm rains and pulled out a squeaky win. Mount Forest, however proved to be a strong team against Cuneo, driving in 2 of their own goals.

Inspite of all the hard work Walkerton Cuneos put out on the ice, we went down in defeat in Hanover. Excellent goals by Chris Cormack, with assists by MacKenzie McTeer and Quinn Tremble. Fantastic goal tending by Calder Davidson.........Great job Cuneo:)

Cuneo Atoms met Kincardine in a mid afternoon game on Saturday. Walkerton Cuneos walked away with yet another win. Scoring from all ends, in all periods but broke the shutout streak.

Although the Cuneo Atoms drove on roads that likely should have been closed to get to this game in Ripley, the weather did not dampen the Cuneo spirits; it lit a fire under them. Cuneo Atoms came on strong and just didn't let up until the final second of this game, leaving Ripley wondering what happened.
