Cuneo Takes One on the Chin
In a mid afternoon game Walkerton Cuneo atoms met against the Hanover Falcons. The game was played hard and skilled by both teams but Cuneo could not buy themselves a win. Not for a lack of trying.
In a very low scoring game, Cuneo and the Falcons were very evenly matched. Both teams played hard and with a lot of heart. This game resulted in all the goals in the first period, Walkerton started the scoring half way through the first period, with a passing frenzy started by Cody Jones to Quinn Tremble, Quinn quickly passed to an open Chris Cormack, who knocked in the only goal of the game for Walkerton. But was quickly answered back twice over by Hanover. Leaving the score at a 2 to 1 score, which held until the end of the game. Both Walkerton and Hanover over the next two periods fought hard to try and knock in one more goal. Hanover heavy in the forward movement and Walkerton heavy in their defensive stance left the game both stagnet in goals, but filled with suspense and close calls.
