Cuneo Atoms Fog Mount Forest
Mother Nature wasn't the only force willing to bring on the fog. Walkerton Cuneo Atoms came into Mount Forest like the warm rains and pulled out a squeaky win. Mount Forest, however proved to be a strong team against Cuneo, driving in 2 of their own goals.
The Cuneo Atom team were found today working on their heels. Having to make up ice from time to time due to penalties in the first and third period by MacKenzie McTeer and Cody Jones. Luck was on the side of Cuneo this day though because both times, playing short handed, Cuneo managed to score. In the first period on a break away, Connor Johnson managed to stick handle the puck out and around the Mount Forest defense and slam one to the back of the net. During the third period, while playing short, passes from JP Kunkle to Connor Johnson then on to Jordan Dahms...Jordan shot quickly and knocked the puck past the Mount Forest netminder. Mount Forest worked in the second period with a combination of fast skating, brilliant passes and working the net managed to get two goals past the Cuneo defensive lines. With only minutes in the final period, Jordan Dahms came through once again and knocked the game winner in.
