Walkerton Cuneo Takes Another Victory Over Kincardine
Walkerton Cuneo Atoms traveled today to Kincardine for a mid afternoon game.  Kincardine showed Walkerton from the first puck being dropped that they wanted this win as bad as Walkerton did.  Coming from behind, Walkerton managed to play a fast paced game to take home the victory.

Kincardine proved from the beginning that they were an evenly matched advisory on the ice.  They played hard and organized; Walkerton started out slow, feeling their way for the team they were against on the ice.  Halfway through the first period Cuneo found the grove they were looking for.  Playing short handed, due to a Cuneo penalty, defenceman MacKenzie McTeer drove the puck to the net.  Skating against two Kincardine defencemen, Mackenzie skated his way clear to the right side of the net and found the slot, where he shot the Cuneo first goal of the game.  Getting Walkerton back into the game and lighting a fire under them.  Leaving the first period at a one to one tie.
Second period was all about forward Jordan Dahms; on two seperate occasions, Dahms pushed his way to the net and gained two goals.  The second of which Jordan dug endlessly at the open puck to knock it in.  Cuneo Atoms had their game in a win category, after another penalty by Cuneo, leaving us shorthanded, Kincardine was able to collect on the debt.  Kincardine put together another heavy play, puck handling past Cuneo defencemen, and past the Walkerton goaltender giving Kincardine their second of the game.  Rounding the end of the second period with a three to two lead for Cuneo.
The third period was rocked with great movement by the forwards and  hard work by the Cuneo defence.  Christopher Cormack found his time by moving the puck up the ice quickly, he was able to easily skate past the Kincardine defence and drive home the fourth and final goal for Cuneo.  Kincardine continued to press our defences to its limit and was able once again to find the back of the net with only seconds left in the game.  By the end of the third period, Walkerton Cuneo won the game with a 4 to 3 score.
