U18 - LL, U18, 2023-2024 (Walkerton Minor Hockey Association)

The Walkerton Capitals would host the Blyth-Brussels Crusaders for Game 2 of the WOAA championship on March 25, 2024.  The Walkerton arena was full of loud and cheering supporters as the two teams hit the ice.  A win and the Capitals would be 2024 champs but a loss would send the two teams back to Blyth for Game 3. 

The first game of the WOAA Maroon Championship would take place on March 21, 2024.  The would be played in Blyth after a coin toss and would feature the Walkerton Capitals playing the Blyth-Brussels Crusaders.  Both teams would be the representatives of their respective divisions vying for the overall championship title.

The Walkerton Capitals would play its tenth and final game of the 2024 Maroon North Championship on March 17, 2024 (St. Patrick’s Day).  Hoping for some luck of the Irish a win would send the Capitals onto the Maroon finals, but a loss and their fate would rest on tomorrow’s evening game between Kincardine and Huron-Bruce Blizzard Grey.  The first meeting between Walkerton and Huron-Bruce was decided in overtime and the Capitals were hoping it wouldn’t go that far, and that a win in regulation would be their gold at the end of the rainbow. 

The Walkerton Capitals would travel to Southampton on March 16, 2024 to play the Saugeen Shores Storm (2).  The game would be highly contested spirited tilt with both teams scoring some truly highlight goals. 

The Walkerton Capitals would faceoff against the Saugeen Shores Storm (2) on March 14, 2024.  The home game would take place in the Mildmay arena.  The Storm had a winning record against the Capitals during the regular season series with a tie and a late season shutout win.  The Capitals would currently sit at second place in the playoff race and still hold a few games in hand but each and every point would become valuable.
