Midget Girls Rep, 2012-2013 (Walkerton Minor Hockey Association)

by Paul Nixon The Walkerton Capitals Kinettes Midget Rep Girls claimed GOLD at the Midget “BB” Ontario Women’s Hockey Association Championship in Ottawa on the weekend.  Sixteen of the top Midget “BB” teams competed for GOLD and the Capitals prevailed after six tight games and defeated the Scarborough Sharks 2-1 in the final. 

by Paul Nixon The Walkerton Midget Girls Capitals advance to the Provincial Championship in Ottawa from April 4th - 7th with a 2-1 win at home over South Huron Sabres on March 5th at 9:15 p.m.  In a penalty filled game the Capitals managed to knock out the pesky Sabres which guaranteed the Capitals a berth in Ottawa.  This was an even game and was scoreless after one period with both teams exchanging some good scoring chances. 

by Paul Nixon The Walkerton Capitals Midget Girls started their Provincial Play downs at home on Tuesday, February 26th at 9:30 p.m., against the South Huron Sabres.  The winner of this will earn a berth in the Provincial Championship in Ottawa April 5th-7th.  The Capitals played a fast paced game and had a 2-0 lead late into the third but the Sabres managed to tie it 2-2.

by Paul Nixon The Walkerton Capitals Rep Girls travelled to Essex on Saturday, February 23rd for a 2:00 p.m., game against the Lakeshore Lightning in the semi-finals of the LLFHL Playoffs.

by Paul Nixon The Walkerton Capitals Midget Rep Girls began their Lower Lakes Female Hockey League (LLFHL) Playoffs on the road on Sunday, February 10th, when they travelled to Kent County (Dresden) to battle the hometown Fillies.
