Women Peewee Rep, U13, 2007-2008 (Walkerton Minor Hockey Association)

The Walkerton Capitals Peewee Girls Rep Team participated in the WOAA year end tournament in Wingham and Blyth on March 28th-30th. The team is sponsored by Godfather's Pizza and would like to thank them for a great year. The girls had an amazing season, particpating in five tournaments they played in the final games of all five. They were champions in the International Silver Stick tournament in Sarnia, also in Brantford to celebrate with Walter Gretzky, and then finished the year with a win at the year end tournament.    The Walkerton Capitals Peewee girls rep team recently participated in the Mitchell Meteors girls tournament.  The team played some tough hockey facing teams such as Ilderton, London and Stratford to end up in second place overall.  This put the team in the final game on Sunday against Stratford.  The girls put in a tremendous effort but could not defeat their opponent in the championship round.  Leaving with the silver, the girls could be proud of their hard work and accomplishments this season.  

   The Walkerton Capitals Peewee Girls Rep team participated in the 27th annual Walter Gretzky Girls Tournament from February 29th-March 2nd in Brantford.  The team is sponsored by Godfathers Pizza and represented the town with pride as they played well against many larger city teams.  Congratulations to the girls for their tireless effort and endless dedication!

   The Godfather's Pizza Peewee girls have begun their provincial playdowns for the month of February. They will be facing Kincardine, South Huron and Stratford to compete for the chance to attend the OWHA Provincial tournament in Mississauga in April.  Good luck team!!!

   The Walkerton Capitals Peewee B girls team sponsored by Godfathers, won the International Silver Stick championship in Sarnia on February 3rd.  Hard work and discipline paid off for the team as they faced strong opposition and much larger squads than themselves.  Congratulations go out to the girls, coaching staff and parents on a job well done!
