Women RKS Bantams, U15, 2007-2008 (Walkerton Minor Hockey Association)

On Friday March the 7th the Walkerton Bantam RKS Local league girls travelled to Wiarton. After the long bus ride to Wiarton the girls were ready to play. In the first period, RKS managed to keep the score 0-0 until the near the end, when Wiarton managed to get the puck in the net. The RKS girls didn’t give up though as later in the second, Adrianna Droefke scored on a break away from a nice clear pass from Sabrina Clark. The RKS bantam girls hockey team traveled to Ripley on Sunday February 24th. The girls played an awesome game but lost to Ripley 1-0. Goalie Reshay Sullivan was standing strong and solid and playing an amazing game without letting any goals in on the first and second period. The teams defence players Heather Kelly, Clair Tomlinson, Kelsey Miller, Kristen Ruetz and Brittany Gamble all played a strong and hard game. From February 8th-9th, The RKS Bantam Girls traveled to London for an overnight tournament. They played their first game at 12:00 Friday afternoon, against Central York. It was a close game, with the final score being a tie, 2-2. The RKS girls clearly demonstrated equal skating skills towards York Central, and both the offence (Adrianna Droefke, Sabrina Clark, Jessica Dredge, Erika Weber, Kaitlin Dosman, Cosette Vandenberg, Marisa Dales, and Heather Kelly) and the defense (Britany Gamble, Kristen Ruetz, Kelsey Miller, Claire Tomlinson) did a good job of keeping control of the puck. #11 ...

On January 26th, The RKS Bantam Girls hockey team played Wallace for the second time this year. They welcomed back right winger Heather Kelly, who had been out due to injuries for a few months. After a very exciting game, the final score was 6-1 for Wallace. In the first period, despite strong offensive and defensive play, Wallace was up 3-0. The Walkerton girls held off goals against until Wallace scored 2 goals close together in the remaining two minutes of the second period. The RKS Bantam Girls Hockey Team traveled to Howick on Monday January 7th. The girls played an awesome game but lost to Howick 3-1 . Goalie Reshay Sullivan was standing by strong and solid . Our defence players (Kelsey Miller, Brittany Gamble, Kristen Ruetz, and Claire Tomlinson) tried very hard to get the puck out of our end, but were over powered by the Howick team scoring two more goals .
