Kelly Back in Lineup by Kelsey Miller
On January 26th, The RKS Bantam Girls hockey team played Wallace for the second time this year. They welcomed back right winger Heather Kelly, who had been out due to injuries for a few months. After a very exciting game, the final score was 6-1 for Wallace. In the first period, despite strong offensive and defensive play, Wallace was up 3-0. The Walkerton girls held off goals against until Wallace scored 2 goals close together in the remaining two minutes of the second period. The Walkerton defence (Britany Gamble, Kristen Ruetz, Kelsey Miller, Claire Tomlinson) played a solid period but couldn?t hold them off for those last two in the final minutes. In the beginning of the third, star goalie Reshay Sullivan made countless saves out of many shots by the Wallace captain. Our forwards (Adrianna Droefke, Sabrina Clark, Jessica Dredge, Erika Weber, Kaitlin Dosman, Cosette Vandenberg, Marisa Dales, and Alex Underbakke, Heather Kelly) were doing a great job keeping the puck in their end, and with help from our defence, #11 Adrianna Droefke got one in with 5 minutes left in the third period.
