Mildmay Game by Reshay Sullivan
On November 13, the Walkerton RKS Bantam house-league girls played Mildmay for the second time this year, and lost 5-0. The Walkerton girls had played amazingly as a team , but it just wasn’t enough it. Player #1 from Mildmay got two goals in on Reshay Sullivan in the first period. In the second period there was no goals scored by either side. This was thanks to Adrianna Droefke, Karleigh Shaidle, Claire Tomlinson, Alexx Underbokke, Kaitlin Dosman, Marisa Dales, Cosette Vandenberg, Jessica Dredge and Sabrina Clark, which are either forwards or centre-man, helped keep the puck out of the Walkerton zone. The defence men (Kelsey Miller, Brittany Gamble, Kristen Ruetz, Heather Kelly), also did an outstanding job defending their goaltender. In the 3rd period, Walkerton did a terrific job and played their positions incredibly well, but still, Mildmay had still found their way around the team and scored another 3 goals (scored by #3). The next game for Walkerton is on Nov. 20th in Belmore. The Walkerton girls are getting much better with every game that they play, and they are encouraged to keep up the great work!!!
