Off to a Good Playoff Start
Last night, The Walkerton Power Worker's Team battled against Mt. Forest for the second win of their playoffs.  It wasn't quite the nail biter that the previous game was, but everyone contributed to another successful game as Walkerton beat Mt. Forest 3-2.

Their was enthusiasm and pride in the air as the Walkerton team passed well, controlled their defensive zone and fought off penalties.  The scoring opened at 9:56 with a goal by Jayden Louther in the second period.  Austin Kelly and Jordan Bester picked up the assists.  The only other scoring of the period came at 2:22 as a slapshot was released that went bar down, handcuffing Kieffer.
The third period saw a bit more action at each end of the rink.  Austin Kelly broke the tie for Walkerton.  Gina McKee started the play and passed to Jayden Louther.  Louther fed the puck to Austin Kelly, making not mistake by notching the top right corner of the opposition's net.  This advanced Walkerton 2-1.  The penalty killers came up big as Walkerton played smart and honed their passing.  Minutes later, Mt. Forest tied the game again, 2-2.  The final goal for Walkerton came from Landon Moore at 7:34.  Ty Arnold and Jordan Bester drew the assists.
Good effort team! See you on the ice next on February 18th vs. South Bruce.
