Walkerton Has A Great Game Against Kincardine
What a difference a sleep can make from one game to another as Walkerton rebounded to show their usual style of play against Kincardine during their 6:00 game at the Davidson Centre.
Joel Pletch put Walkerton on the scoreboard as he tipped the puck in on a redirect from Landon Moore at 8:08 of the first period. Less than a couple minutes later, Jordan Bester scored as he shot and it went through the five hole. Landon Moore and Ethan Schmidt racked up the assists. The effort and clean passing persisted for Walkerton as they ended the period with a two goal lead.
Kincardine threaded on, scoring two goals against Walkerton's Christian Kieffer to tie the game at two a piece during the second period.
It all came down to the third period which was a real game of cat and mouse. Kincardine scored at 14:20 and Walkerton's Noah Currie responded at 10:26, streaking straight down the center ice on a pass from Austin Kelly and Ty Arnold. Kincardine notched another one in making it 4-3 for Kincardine. Landon Moore beckoned to the call as he put one high between the pipes. Ryan Girdler and Thomas Crummer picked up the assists. With 56 second left in the game, Kincardine sewed their faith with a victory. It was a well executed game by Walkerton with lots of effort and cooperation. Well done team! Despite the loss, we are proud of your effort tonight.
