Peewee Girls Rep, 2012-2013 (Walkerton Minor Hockey Association)

The Pee Wee Girls stormed into Waterloo on Sunday, January 13 looking to continue the drive and excellent play they demonstrated in the Woodstock Tournament the weekend before. The girls were quick out of the gate and drew first blood mid-way through the first period when Avery W. put the Caps on the scoresheet with a breakaway and beat the Waterloo goalie on a wide angle shot.

The Walkerton Capitals Pee Wee Girls Rep team travelled to Lucan on Sunday, Nov 4, looking for a win and 2 points, and they worked hard to achieve it. Steph Y. was the first to make it onto the scoresheet, scoring the game's first goal with 4:34 remaining in the first period, assisted by Avery W. and Brook S. The girls worked hard to kill off two penalties without any damage being done.

The Walkerton Capitals Pee Wee Girls Rep team hosted the Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting on Saturday, November 3. Sarnia was the first on the scoreboard with 2:55 remaining in the first period.  A penalty against them soon thereafter put Walkerton on the power play for which they were rewarded with a goal by Bailey T., assisted by Avery W. and Brook S.  

The Walkerton Capitals Pee Wee Rep Girls hosted Zorra Fuzion for a double header at 11:30 and 2:30 on Saturday, October 27.  Game # 1 was fast paced and plenty of end to end action with all of the girls skating and passing well, but they could not get past the Zorra goalie to put the puck into the net.  It was a clean game with no penalties and was over in only 42 minutes!  Final score 3 - 0 for Zorra Fuzion.

The girls made a trip to Woodstock to take on the Wildcats in league play on Saturday, October 20. The long drive seemed to have taken some jump out of the girls' legs early on as Woodstock took control with an early 3 - 0 lead by the end of the first period.
