Pee Wee Girls Host Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting
The Walkerton Capitals Pee Wee Girls Rep team hosted the Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting on Saturday, November 3.
Sarnia was the first on the scoreboard with 2:55 remaining in the first period. A penalty against them soon thereafter put Walkerton on the power play for which they were rewarded with a goal by Bailey T., assisted by Avery W. and Brook S.
Vikki S. was solid in net and backed up by her defensemen, who also made some excellent end to end rushes through the opposition to try to take the lead.
Three power play opportunities in the second and third periods did not result in a goal, but there were many excellent chances and shots on the net. The girls skated well and held their ground, walking away with a point after the 1 - 1 tie.
