Last Two Home Games End in Ties
In a close home game against Minto on Saturday, Dec. 10, Prestige managed to close the game in a 2-2 tie.
Austin Kelly, on a lone goal in the first period, tied the game at 1-1. Minto came back strong in the second, bringing the score 2-1early in the period. Once again Kelly, assited by Chase Walker and Colton Rutledge, put one in the net to end the game 2-2.
It was a repeat performance in another home game two days later against Mt. Forest, except that it was a bit rougher in action. Mt. Forest scored in the first period, and Walkerton returned in the second to tie the game on a goal by Ethan Schmidt. Schmidt was assisted by Calvin Wilson and Jordan Bester.
Once again the visiting team gained the lead in the second period, but Schmidt, with a pass from Kelly, found the net again in the third period to end the game in another 2-2 tie.
Prestige's next game is at home against Walkerton's very own Weber's Electric.
