Game 3 of playoffs
Series over!
Saturday we played the third game against Drayton in which turned out to be a very tight series where both teams were evenly matched. The team came out onto the ice very excited and pumped up ready to go. The first two periods were back and forth and was a defensive battle with both teams killing off penalties. At the end of two periods it was scoreless. At one point I was thinking we are going to overtime. With just under eight minutes left in third period Aiden Hinsperger broke into the Drayton zone and scored the first goal of the game. It remained very tight until Riley Keip and Adam Girdler scored within eight seconds of each other to make it 3-0. Our defense played very well today and Ryan Fotheringham made some huge saves to keep it scoreless. Drayton scored a late goal but Tyler Crummer scored into the empty net to seal the victory.
Overall we played a very good series and now wait for the winner between Elma Logan and Goderich.
