The Legion Peewee rep team recently played 3 exciting overtime games against Minto.  On Monday, Feb 2 in Walkerton, the action began on a first period penalty kill, when centre Tyson MacLennan kicked up a blocked shot and went low with a backhander to open the scoring. Minto tied the score when a point shot deflected off a skate to get past goalie Ryan Bester, but Walkerton regained the lead when Kyle “Digger” Paulitzki set up MacLennan for his second of the game.  It was 2-2 in the third when Bailey Zettler took a long lead pass from defenseman Kurt Biesenthall and blasted one through ...

The Legion Peewee reps enjoyed another close, hard-fought game Wednesday night in Walkerton, coming up short against Mitchell to go down 2-1 in the first round best of 5.

The Legion Peewees lost 5-3 in Mitchell Friday night, to even their first round series at a game apiece. This was another close, hard-fought game, with Walkerton dominating the first period.

The Legion Peewee rep team started the playoffs with an exciting 1-0 victory over rival Mitchell Meteors at home Wednesday night.  Short one defenseman due to Kurt Biesenthal's sprained ankle, coach Pat Donnelly dropped the versatile Bailey Zettler back to bolster the defense, going with 2 centres (Tyson MacLennan and Justin Donnelly) and 3 pairs of wingers (Matt Lang with Isaac Elliott, Ryan Young with Tyler Goetz and Lucas Bester with Kyle "Digger" Paulitzki).

The Walkerton Legion Peewee boys had a great finish to an otherwise tough season Wednesday, as they skated to a 1-1 draw with Mitchell at home in Walkerton.
