Playoff Game 6 vs. Hanover Falcons
The Capitals would play a home and home weekend series against the Hanover Falcons starting on March 6, 2020. The game would be a hard fought battle that would see both teams come out quickly and battle to the final buzzer.

The first period and the teams would start at a feverish pace, up and down the ice the teams fought for puck possession and scoring opportunities. The goalies were putting on a clinic with some outstanding saves from both sides. Just past the half way point of the period a Walkerton player would be ejected after a hit from behind and would receive a 1 game suspension on top of the game misconduct. Walkerton and Hanover would find themselves in a scoreless draw after the first period concluded.

The Falcons would open the scoring early in the second period after a slap shot for in front beat the Capitals Ryan Hinsperger. Hanover would then increase it’s lead several minutes later and take a 2-0 lead after scoring on the man advantage mid way through the frame. Hanover would take the lead into the third period.

The third period would see the Capitals come out strong and be rewarded early when Joshua Flood lifted the puck past the Hanover goalie to cut the lead in half and bring Walkerton right back into the game. Walkerton would continue to apply pressure as the game continued but Hanover was very effective in clearing rebounds and blocking shots in front of it’s net. Hanover would score with just under 4 minutes remaining to restore the 2 goal lead and would not relinquish that lead and take the game by a score of 3-1. Both teams will face each other the next day in Hanover as the playoff series continues.
