Game 5 vs. Bruce Peninsula Northstars Black
Less than 24 hours after its last game the Walkerton Capitals found themselves playing against the Bruce Peninsula Northstars Black Team on November 3rd, 2019 in Lions Head.

The Capitals would open the scoring with 5:44 remaining in the first period when Cayleb Peitz took a stretch pass from Xander Thornton and went in alone on the Northstars net-minder, he would out weight the goalie before finding the back of the net.  Walkerton would increase its lead two minutes later when Joshua Flood scored after taking a pass from Cayleb Peitz and Xander Thornton.  The Walkerton Capitals would lead 2-0 after the first period.

The second period would see the Northstars score just over a minute and a half into the period to cut into the Walkerton lead.  Walkerton would respond after Cayleb Peitz took a pass from Kody Brown.   The Capitals would continue to pressure the opposition net and would be rewarded when Tyler Wallace scored after following up on his own rebound and tucking the puck underneath the goalie, assisting on the play was Matthew McNaughton.  The Northstars would score with 4:38 remaining in the period but would trail Walkerton 4-2 after two periods of play.

Just over a minute into the third period Cayleb Peitz would complete his hat trick with his third goal of the game this time unassisted.  Less than a minute later Matthew McNaughton would take a drop pass in his own end and drive the net while lifting the puck over the glove hand of the Bruce Peninsula net-minder, Cayleb Peitz would be awarded an assist on the play.  The Capitals would continue to press and would score while shorthanded when Jacob Girdler would stop a clearing attempt along the boards before stepping out and firing from the face off circle into the top corner.  Bruce Peninsula would score with just over 1 minute remaining but it would be the Capitals who would skate away with a 7-3 victory.

A strong game from the Capitals once again, using speed and all players contributing throughout.  Walkerton would control the tempo throughout most of the game and make the most of its scoring opportunities.
