Bantam Rep, U15, 2014-2015 (Walkerton Minor Hockey Association)

The Walkerton Bantam have won their 1st round OMHA series after winning the first 3 games of the 6 point series.  The boys opened up the series with a 4-0 win at home and then earned another 4-0 shutout win in Listowel.  They closed out the series with a tight 3-2 win and will now play the Kincardine Kinucks in the quarterfinals. 

Bantam Boys Continue to Improve!

The Bantam Rep Boys Regular Season has come to an end.  Even though our record is below .500 the boys have proven when they play a solid 3 periods of hockey they can skate with any team in the league. The boys have improved throughout the year thus far and are looking forward to the Silver Stick Tournament this month and both the OMHA and WOAA playoffs in the new year.  The coaching staff wish the boys and their families a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.  

The Bantam Rep Boys are starting to play some good team hockey of late.  The team has put together a string of good games.  Over the last 3 games the team has 2 wins and 1 loss.  At the West Grey Tournament held in Ayton this past Sunday they won in a shootout 2-1 over the host team.  Our goalie, Christian, stopped all 5 shooters in the shootout to get the win.  We then lost a very spirited game to Blyth-Brussels but certainly had our scoring chances to win it.  On Monday we played host against a strong Minto team and came out with a 4-1 victory.  This was our best game of the year as the ...

After winning our first 2 exhibition games the Bantam rep boys have played 6 regular season games so far and have a record of 1-2-3.  Last night against BCH the boys put out their best effort of the short season so far.  The played hard from the drop of the puck until the final buzzer.  The boys rallied late in the 3rd period and erased a 1 goal deficit to get it to a 1 goal advantage only to have BCH score with 6 seconds left to tie the game.  Christian played stellar in net making some huge saves throughout the game.
