Legion PeeWee Boys Tie Hanover
by Andy Cormack
On Wednesday Nov. 30, the boys hosted the Hanover Falcons. The hard fought, evenly matched game ended in a 2-2 tie.
After Hanover scored in the first, Dakota Weiler put one in the net to tie the game, late in the period. Tristan Zettel and Michael McAskill assisted this much needed goal.
Hanover scored the only goal in the second, and took a 2-1 lead into the third period. A fired up, determined Legion team controlled play in the final period and peppered the Hanover goalie with numerous shots. Broder Currie scored what proved to be the final and tying goal of the game. Ryan Girdler was credited with the only assist on the goal.
