Hillyer's First Career Goal is Game Winner
Weber Electric hosted the Listowel Cyclones November 20th and Joel Hillyer's first career goal, in his first year of minor hockey, was the game winner in a 2-1 victory.

Joel Hillyer decided this season he was going to play hockey and he has been a great addition to the team, coming close so many times to achieving his first career goal.  Joel waited for his first goal to be more than just a goal, it was the game winner coming at the 10 minute mark of the second period, asisted by Connor Johnson and Thomas Crummer.  Drew Cobean scored in the first period to give Walkerton a 1-0 lead.  Scott Eddyvean and Joel Pletch assisted on Cobean's goal.  Hillyer's goal gave Walkerton a 2-0 lead which Listowel narrowed to 1 at the end of the second period.

Keeper Trevor Dillon,  squeezed everything in sight to hold on to the victory assisted by his defense warriors, Crummer, Georgina McKee, Ben Schmidt and Curtis Al.

Walkerton travels to Drayton November 27th looking to even the home and away series with the Defenders.
