6 Point Game for Cobean in 6-3 Victory
Walkerton's Weber Electric Peewee LL travelled to Durham November 19th and delivered a 6-3 loss to the hometown crowd. Drew Cobean scored 4 goals and added 2 assists to the cause.
Walkerton and Durham did not disappoint their fans in a much anticipated match-up. Both teams have had success and defeat early in the season and it was anyone's guess who would earn the 2 points in today's game. Durham opened the scoring but Drew Cobean evened the score, unassisted, late in the first period. Durham regained the lead in the second period but once again Cobean tied the game on a play by Scott Eddyvean and Ben Schmidt. Cobean would score two more times followed by 2 more goals from Eddyvean, both assisted by Cobean to seal the victory for Walkerton. Durham scored late in the 3rd period to narrow the gap, but couldn't beat Walkerton's red hot goalie, Trevor Dillon, who was solid in net.
Joel Pletch earned three assists and Georgina McKee had a helper.
