Prestige Earns their First Shutout
An incredible game took place this morning, at the Walkerton arena.  Prestige Atoms worked hard, individually and as a well oiled team.  Aaron-Elderslie Atoms traveled to Walkerton in an early morning game, to be defeated by a very different Prestige team than the team they faced 2 short months ago.  Prestige offered them a 4 to nothing loss.

Prestige Atoms came out to the ice pad to prove that they are a team that never gives up, whether it is to face the winning circle or facing defeat.  This team has and continues to give it all they have til the final buzzer, in every game they have been a part of; and this game was not any different.
From day one, this team passed well, watched their partners backs and made plays.  This has been how Prestige has played all year.  There is something special about a team that continues to evolve and grow as a team, as one improves, they all have improved.  It is an incredible team to watch play.
Prestige Atoms had faced the Aaron-Elderslie team once before where we faced defeat, but this is a different team, and we have grown together.  Prestige had scoring in all periods.  Defenseman, Tanner Stumpfle brought the puck up and passed to forward Jordan Bester, Jordan moved the  puck up to forward Christian Kieffer, who lobbed the shot, and the light indicating our goal was lit.
A great deal of the game was back and forth from one end to the other.  Prestige goaltender Matthew Donnelly was given a good workout today but justly earned the shut out.  In the second Prestige earned another chance at scoring.  This time Kieffer was the one to set up this play.  Kieffer found a well positioned defenseman Denver Turnbull who rushed the net, after getting past the Aaron Elderslie defense, Turnbull took the shot, saved by their goal tender and a bounce shot taken by Jordan Bester was tipped in for out seond goal.
Prestige has been one of those teams who has shown what they are made of, never giving up til the final buzzer.  The third period showed just that.  Again Turnbull found his defense partner Tanner Stumpfle who passed it to centerman Nick Fairminer; shooting it in for a 3 to nothing lead.  Although the Aaron Elderslie team put up a challenge, Prestige had one more goal in them.  Forward Jacob Weiler passed it to Turnbull and found Scott Eddyvean, who bounced in our final goal.  4 to Nothing was the final score, for Prestige.
