A Game Showing Prestige Strength
Prestige Atoms went out onto the ice, and gave it everything they had, they played as a team, strong on the passing and defense was strong. Unfortunately, the end result was a 2 to 1 loss against Mitchell.
Although our Prestige Atom AE team continues to meld well as a team, we have not found our first win. During our second game, we continued to hone our skills as a team, and put up a strong game against Mitchell; showing them that our team is only on its way up.
The first period ended scoreless, with both teams working hard. Prestige defense, Girdler, McTeer, Stempfle and Weiler held the lines tight; Goaltending was stellar between the pipes by Matthew Donnelly.
The second period saw plenty of chances for Walkerton to score, however the Mitchell goalie held his own. Sending Mitchell into the third period with a 1 to 0 lead.
The third period was the busiest for both sides, Walkerton prestige found their only goal of the game with great passing from Jordan Bester and Christian Kieffer to a well positioned Nicholas Fairminer. Mitchell found themselves in the penalty box, no less than 3 times but it also gave them the game winning goal.
