Legion PeeWees fight off Storm for tie

The Walkerton Legion PeeWee Rep team hosted the Saugeen Storm on Wed. Nov. 24 and battled back from a two goal deficit, to tie the Storm 4-4.
Bailey Zettler opened the scoring in the first period with assists credited to Jake Spitzig and Michael McAskill. Saugeen Shores answered with two goals of their own. McAskill scored late in the second period for Walkerton to tie the game at 2-2. Zettler and Curtis Biesenthal earned assists.
Saugeen shores stormed ahead in the third with two goals, making it a 4-2 game. With less than three minutes remaining, Jake Spitzig scored two goals to give the home team a well-deserved tie. Zettler got his third point of the night with an assist on Spitzig's first goal. Christopher Cormack and Kyle Vaughan assisted on the second goal.
Goalie Ryan Bester was stellar between the pipes, making numerous timely saves.
