Legion PeeWee Boys Continue Winning Ways
written by Andy Cormack

The Legion PeeWee Rep team won back-to-back away games on Sunday Dec 19, and on Monday Dec 20.

On Sunday, the boys travelled to Mount Forest where they defeated the hometown Rams 2-1.  Bailey Zettler opened the scoring in the first period on a goal assisted by Jake Spitzig.  Christopher Cormack made the score 2-0 on an unassisted effort.  The Rams responded later in the second to make the score 2-1.  The boys showed terrific defensive zone smarts and coverage to hold on to their slim lead.
On Monday Dec. 20, the PeeWee boys ventured to the friendly confines of the Paisley arena where they shut-out the Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs 5-0.  Bailey Zettler lead the scoring with 2 goals and 2 assists.  Michael McAskill had 1 goal and 1 assist.  Christopher Cormack and Jake Spitzig each had 1 goal, while Kyle Paulitzki and Jordan Dahms were credited with assists.  Goalie Ryan Bester earned the shut-out.
The boys are playing excellent hockey and have won 6 out of their last 7 games.
