Walkerton Dental Centre Midget Rep, U18, 2009-2010 (Walkerton Minor Hockey Association)

Midget Rep boys finished off a challenging season on Feb 22 in Chesley with an exciting win 3-2.  The boys are now hanging them up til next season.  Final stats are now available for the players.  Thanks to Perry, Ray, Jeremy and Dave for all the time and effort over the year.  Have a great summer !!

You could see it coming, getting closer to being right. The Walkerton Dental Center Midget Rep boys snapped a recent skid with a victory over Durham, 4-2 on Monday night in Walkerton. Jake Elliott almost was bored, as the boys controlled the puck in Durham's end most of the night. Going into the 3rd the score was tied 1-1, even though the balance of play and many great chances were in Walkerton's favour. After a tough stretch of games the Walkerton Dental Center Midget Reps bounced back with a very strong game against rival Hanover. While the final score was 2-1 for Hanover, Hanover certainly went home feeling lucky. After a slow start Walkerton played great hockey in the 2nd and 3rd periods to dominate play. Scoring for Walkerton was Jake "the snipe" Barclay, assisted by Jordan Wendorf and Tony Howe. Jake Elliott kept the puck out in the first period to give the home town boys a chance to win. Next game is Saturday in Walkerton against Wiarton. Be there or be square !!

The Walkerton Dental Center Midget Rep boys hosted the Mitchell Meteors on Oct 26. Mitchell opened the scoring midway through the 1st. Walkerton played a much stronger second frame and knotted the score 4 minutes in, on a low shot from the the point by Kalvin Reed that was redirected into the net by sniper Jake Barclay. Mitchell regained the lead in the second. The Walkerton boys came out hard in the 3rd, but ran into a slew of penalties. While shorthanded 5 minutes in, Jake Barclay set out on a 2 on 1 with Tony Howe. Barclay gave a good feed to Howe, who made no mistake and buried it. The ...
