Elliott Earns a Shutout
Monday October 19th saw the Walkerton Dental Center Midget Rep boys even their regular season record at 1-1 with a hard earned victory over BCH. Jake Elliott anchored the victory with some spectactular saves. Jake held BCH at bay early while the team shook off some early season cobwebs. Nathan O'Hagan opened the scoring mid way through the first period to grab the early lead. Sniper Jake Barclay netted a Braydon Berberick rebound, near the end of the first, to make the score 2-0. The boys played solid hockey the rest of the way for the 2-0 victory. Special note goes to Braydon Berberick who played a skilled and energetic game on the line with Barclay and Tony Howe. The defence and puck clearing was also very solid, as well, anchored by Mac Cassidy, Kalvin Reed and Justin Wright. The Midget Rep boys play home games Mondays at 9pm. Next up, October 26th, is the perennial rival the Mitchell Hornets.
