Walkerton Meets the Mighty Mitchell
Oct 22, brought the fans out to watch an exciting game between our own Walkerton Legion Peewee boys and their worthy opponents from Mitchell. Both teams were determined to display their best effort and their fans were not disappointed.
Mitchell broke through the gate with an early goal which only served to increase the resolve of our men. With great goaltending and dynamic defense Walkerton would not give up. Late in the 1st period Chase Louther and Cole Stark gave their all and supplied the puck to Max Barclay to tie the game. From here on in it was a battle of wills with neither team giving in. Not only was there a draw on the score sheet, but also on the penalty list with both teams only suffering one each for tripping. Honorable mention goes to our defensive squad including Luke Zettel, Mitchell Eckert, Cole Stark and Jackson Stark. Well done boys!!
