Grubb Posts Four Straight Shutouts
The Weber's Electric Bantam Rep girls have rebounded from a disappointing Silver Stick to win 4 straight led by Katie Grubb with four straight shutouts.

After being shutout themselves in 3 games at the Silver Stick the girls have turned it around and posted four straight shutouts themselves. Grubb was in net for all four and came up big, stopping no less than 6 breakaways, in a 7-0 win over the Wiarton Wild. Claire Tomlinson got Walkerton off on the right foot with an early goal, assists to Shae Busby and Dallas Fahrer. Lexie Bell upped the count to 2-0, 4 minutes later, Busby assisting, and Katrina Wyatt, with her first of the year, made it 3-0 before the end of the first on a nice shot to the bottom corner of the net. assists went to Marielle Adams and Jocelyn King. The second and third periods saw Adams, with her 11th and 12th, and Busby with her 5th and 6th of the year, both get one in each period. Assists went to Mikayla Smailes with 2,Katrina Young,Ashlee Cameron,Wyatt,Tomlinson and King.
The girls made the return trip to Wiarton 5 days later and came home with a 5-0 win. Adams and Fahrer had outstanding games in this one with Adams scoring 4 goals and Fahrer potting a goal and adding 4 assists.King, with 2 and Busby added a the other assists. The "D" was alot better in this game and made Grubbs life a little easier but she still had to come up with a few big stops to earn the shutout.
A day later the Weber girls hosted Tiverton and again prevailed, after a very even match, with Fahrer scoring a goal with 9 seconds left in the game to make it 1-0 for Walkerton. Wyatt received the assist. There were lots of penalties in this one but Walkertons penalty killers showed coach "Beaves" methods work ,when they are used correctly.
To finish the week off the girls had a nice short trip to Mildmay and again were evenly matched but a lucky goal put the girls ahead 2-0 and they never looked back taking the game 3-0. Wyatt potted her 2nd  of the year early in the first, assists to King and Adams. Bell  scored her 7th of the year, right off the faceoff, to make it 2-0,  Busby earned the assist and Adams finished the scoring on a nice rush from Busby who broke past the Mildmay D and slid the puck out in front of the net off of Adams' foot and into the net. Smailes started the play with a nice outlet pass to Busby. The Weber girls next game is against a very tough Goderich team.
