Weber Reps Lucan Tourney Finalists
The Weber Electric Bantam girls went to Lucan for a post Christmas tourney and went undefeated in the round robin but came up short in the final against the home town girls

Walkerton started their tournament off against Brantford and got off to a quick start with Marielle Adams scoring on a nice set-up from Katrina Wyatt and Shae Busby early in the first period. Brantford managed to tie the game up early in the third period but Wyatt came through late in the third to seal the win, assists went to Dallas Fahrer and Adams to give Walkerton a 2-1 win. Their next game pitted the girls against a very strong Lucan team and the Weber girls gave them all they had, despite three girls being sick, and held Lucan to a 0-0 tie. Katie Grubb was strong in net, as always, and earned the shutout. After a well deserved rest and sleep, the girls travelled back to Lucan the next day and needed a win against South Huron the reach the finals. The Weber girls started out slow, but found their legs in the third with Katrina Young finally breaking through the South Huron defense to score 2 goals, to give Walkerton a 2-0 win. Shae Busby  and Jocelyn King notched assists. This win put the girls in the finals against Lucan, but after the South Huron game, and short ride to London for "shopping", the girls were a little flat in this one and couldn't match the home teams intensity ending up on the short end of a 2-0 score. The girls are now revving up for their next tournament in Trenton.
