Bantams Fall a Bit Short Against Listowel
Coming off a 1-1 previous weekend which saw the Bantams defeat Goderich 6-2 only to lose to Mildmay the following night 9-4, it was not known which team would show up in Listowel on Sunday night.

The team started out very slow allowing 2 early goals before the game was even 3 minutes old and seemed to be back on their heals a bit.  The remainder of the first saw Listowel take it to Walkerton with Cole Dales playing strong in between the pipes to preserve the 2 goal deficit after one stanza of play.  Some strong defensive play by Justin Reinhart, Brendan King, and Patrick Walsh held Listowel off the board throughout the second however the offense was having some difficulties penetrating through the Listowel zone to generate any sort of scoring plays.  The second period intermission must have sparked some energy into the men as they came out flying in the third throwing some weight around and proving to Listowel that they would have to pay the price if the wanted to win this game.  Once again the iron curtain that is our goaltending and defensive play was evident in the third and when David Carroll found the back of the twine after some nice passing by Zachary Petteplace and Wendel Cameron midway through the third there was life back on the Walkerton bench.  Some close calls in front of the net almost resulted in the tying goal however the Listowel goaltender held the fort and allowed his team to come away with a very well deserved 2-1 victory.  The Joy Source for Sports Bantams are next in action Monday November 24 when the Mitchell Meteors come to the WCC to try and avenge a previous loss to the blue and white.
