Joy Sports Bantam Rep Take Lead in Series
Monday night the Bantam Rep boys team played host to the Mitchell Meteors for game 3 of their best of 5 series.  Having tied the series up at 1 game a piece the previous week with an emotional 6-5 overtime victory the boys looked to grab a hold of the series with a win.

There was some unfortunate news from the previous games events with injuries sustained to Josh Busby and Wendel Cameron which kept them from the game.  With Patrick Walsh already on the sidelines for one more game the team was down to only 7 regular players in the line-up.  With affiliated players Callum Schaus and Cameron Wagner ready to step in and fill the void the boys kept the game simple and used turnovers to build up a 4-2 lead after 2 periods of play.  The third period once again saw the Capitals keep pucks deep in Mitchells end which frustrated the hosts into taken some unnecessary penalties.  Eric Elliott would capitalize on one of those power plays stretching the lead to 5-2 only to have Mitchell answer back a few minutes later to keep the game close.  Player of the game Cole Dales kept Mitchell off the scoreboard the rest of the way to perserve the 5-3 victory giving Walkerton a 2-1 lead in the series.  Shot recorder Wendel Cameron would announce at the end of the game that Cole had made 44 saves for the win which would lead some to believe that Dales had seen more rubber that game than a dead skunk on the trans canada highway!
