Group Playdowns continue and our McIntee Atom Rep Boys were off to Tara to face an unknown Arran Elderslie team. Midway through the first Justin Donnelly opened the scoring with assists going to Jake Spitzig and Michael McAskill. AE answered back about 30 seconds later to tie it at 1. With 3.5 minutes to play Lucas Bester took the lead back on a goal assisted by Hunter Zettler. Early in the second Jake Spitzig added to our lead on a goal assisted by Lucas Bestor and Kyle Paulitzki to take a 3 - 1 lead into the 3rd. However the dreaded penalty bug came back again and AE scored on a PP to bring them within one. Then with just over 26 seconds to play they scored again to take the game into overtime. Just over a minute in the managed to get another one by us to take game #1.
