7-1 Victory Caps off a Perfect Season for Fritz Concrete
A 7-1 win against the Listowel Cyclones Saturday, on home ice, capped off a perfect record, in  regulation play, for the Fritz Concrete Novice Rep Team.  The team won every league game this season.

The team was also rewarded on Saturday with a special visitor.  Walkerton Minor Hockey President Chum McAskill introduced Ben Lobb,  MP Huron-Bruce  to the players and coaches.   Mr. Lobb had read about their Regional Silver Stick Championship and presented each of the players with a Certificate of Congratulations on behalf of the Government of Canada.

The special presentation was exciting for the players and made them even more determined to finish off regular league play with a final win before moving on to the playoffs.

In the absence of Carter Buehlow, who is enjoying some sun in Florida, Brayden McKenzie moved up from defence to fill in for centre.  Brayden took advantage of this move to add another goal to his stats.  Evan Visser netted 2 goals as did Noah Leslie.  Other singles went to Dakota Weiler and Hunter Zettler.  Zettler picked up 3 assists, Weiler with 2 and Sam Lowry-Young assisted on McKenzie's goal.

The team will now wait for the scheduling meeting to determine their opposition in the first round playoffs.
