Game 4 vs. Huron-Bruce Blizzard Grey
The Capitals would head up to Ripley to play the Huron-Bruce Blizzard Grey on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.  The game would be a battle between two undefeated teams and while still early in the season this would become an epic battle

Walkerton would need to call up U15 goalie, Del Freiburger, to play net as our regular goalie will be unavailable for the next several games.  The Blizzard would come out early in the first period and pepper the Walkerton net with pucks but Del was equal to the task and strong in the net allowing nothing passed him.  The Capitals would open the scoring on the power play when Keegan Batte carried the puck from his own end and sent it to the front of the net where Travis Goll fired a one timer passed the blocker of the Blizzard netminder.  Walkerton would go up 2-0 when Duncan Abell fired a low slap shot from just inside the blueline that beat a screened goalie while the Capitals were again on the power play.  Walkerton would lead 2-0 at the end of the first period.

The second period and the two teams would continue to battle back and forth with end to end rushes and some great scoring chances but the two goalies were stellar in between the pipes.  Walkerton would score midway through the period when Chase Kaufman knocked down a clearing attempt in front of the Blizzard net and lifted a hard wrist shot up and just under the crossbar.  The Capitals would lead 3-0 after two periods of play in the books.

The third period would start and again it would be end to end play but neither team would be able to score but it would keep those in attendance riveted to their seats.   Del would record the shutout in net for the Capitals as he was very strong and calm in his U18 debut.  The defence played hard in front of the young netminder by blocking shots and by keeping play to the outside.  The passing from the forwards was again crisp and precise.  The two goalies on both teams would put on a clinic and in the end it was Walkerton who would skate away with a hard fought win.
