Fair Fight with Mount Forest
Our final two exhibition games, prior to the season opener, were well fought, and our PeeWee Rep boys came away with two wins.
While we continue to juggle the lines a little up front, credit needs to be given to our forwards for their efforts around the opposition net, and for their drive to win the one-on-one battles, something we have really been trying to focus on. As a newcomer to this group, I can pick out a few players who have worked together in the past, as the comradery is fairly evident on the ice. One thing that was really impressive from an offensive perspective was some of the puck movement, down deep in the other zone. Great job boys!
Defensively, I am real happy with the guys we have along the blue line. We saw some real smart hockey against Mount Forest, which is exactly what we need from these guys.
Lets not forget Spencer, our last line of defence, who continues to hold the fort on the back end. We want him to be bored, but when he's not, he is keeping some pucks out of our net. Keep up the good work Spence!
