Game 15 vs. South Bruce Blades
The Walkerton Capitals would play the South Bruce Blades on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 in a morning game.  Walkerton would find itself missing 3 players but the team would come together to play a fantastic game.

The Capitals would come out strong in the opening minutes and would be rewarded just 2:07 into the period when Logan Bradley fired the puck past the Blades goalie after taking a pass from Wes Hunt.  The Capitals would continue to pressure in the South Bruce end and would again be rewarded when Logan Bradley scored his second of the game.  As the period was winding down Owen Young would fire a wrist shot from the top of the face-off circle that would find the corner of the net.  Walkerton lead 3-0.

The two teams would continue to battle as the second period started.  South Bruce would score half-way through the frame to cut into the Walkerton lead.  Walkerton would score with 2:15 remaining when Jack Walter took a breakout pass from Matthew McNaughton and put a shot stick side of the Blades goalie.  The Capitals lead 4-1 after 20 minutes.

The final period and Walkerton would score in the opening minute when Jack Walter found the back of the net after taking a hard pass from Carson Baglole.  Jack would then complete the hat trick with 7:29 left in the period, assists were created to Seth Young and Owen Young.  The scoring continued when Wes Hunt took the puck from behind the South Bruce net and scored on a wrap around.  The scoring concluded with 39 seconds left when Travis Goll unleashed a high wrist shot that found the top corner.

The boys played a very strong game. Each and everyone stepped up when required.  The passing was precise and the speed of the skating exceptional.  The defence played well in front of its own net and thus limited the amount of shots that the Blades were able to muster on net.
