Bantam Girls Lower Lakes, 2013-2014 (Walkerton Minor Hockey Association)

   Larsen's Bantam BB Girls team headed to Barrie for their first tournament of the year. They played their first game Friday afternoon against the Kitchener Lady Rangers.Larsen's came out strong and scored two first period goals by Jordan Ahrens (pick-up) and Nicole Mckague to lead 2-0 after one period. Brina Hudson extended the lead to 3-0 after two. Kitchener scored an early goal in the third but Nicole's second goal of the game extinguished any thought of a comeback.Final score was 4-1.

The Bantam Lower Lakes Girls started their season and after deciding to go BB, everyone anxious, wondering what the competition would be like for our players. Saturday began the season with a game in Innisfil against Barrie.  The game remained scoreless despite many attempts from both teams. Sunday the girls faced Oakville in their first home game.  Oakville started off with a goal to take the lead.  Walkerton fought hard, kept in the game, and their efforts finally paid off with a goal from Victoria with just over 6 minutes left in the 3rd period.  It was a pretty tense final 5 minutes and ...
