Bantam Girls Lower Lakes Start the Season Off Strong
The Bantam Lower Lakes Girls started their season and after deciding to go BB, everyone anxious, wondering what the competition would be like for our players.
Saturday began the season with a game in Innisfil against Barrie. The game remained scoreless despite many attempts from both teams.
Sunday the girls faced Oakville in their first home game. Oakville started off with a goal to take the lead. Walkerton fought hard, kept in the game, and their efforts finally paid off with a goal from Victoria with just over 6 minutes left in the 3rd period. It was a pretty tense final 5 minutes and with just over 1 minute left, Kylie scored to take the lead. Walkerton won the game 2-1.
