The Walkerton Capitals Kinettes Midget Rep Girls ventured to London on Sunday, December 2nd at 6:45 p.m., and had a devil of a time with the London Devilettes.
After being switched to a different rink for the third
period the Capitals rebounded from their loss to Zorrra and shut out the
hometown Devilettes 1-0 to start another winning streak.
The Capitals opened the scoring in the first when Ashton
Nixon was sent in alone on a break away from Missy Adams. Nixon made no mistake and buried the shot
high glove side where mom keeps the peanut butter. That was all the scoring the Capitals would need. They shut the Devilettes down the remainder
of the game and left London with a tight 1-0 victory. Alyssa Inglis was solid in the net and picked up another shut
out.
The Capitals are on the road this weekend and visit
Lakeshore (Essex) on Saturday, Dec 8th, and Windsor on Sunday, December 9th.
