Juvies Complete Three Peat!
The John Ernewein Juveniles continued to get stronger as the tournament proceeded and finished in grand fashion!
Avenging their heart breaking loss to Glanbrook in The Greg Dietz tournament, the guys stepped up and played a solid game from start to finish, clearly outplaying their opponent. Everyone contributed toward the strong performance as we skated to a 4 - 1 victory and the third consecutive juvenile Lucknow Silver Stick championship. The teams defense and goaltending continue to be stingy allowing only 7 goals in four games!What was really special about this win was how the team rallied together to fill the big loss of Scott Barclay, one of the teams top forwards, who we lost to a severe separated shoulder injury in the previous game. Special note needs to go out to Nathan O'Hagan and Steve Thompson who both stepped up big time, with Steve capturing MVP honours. The guys will now focus on the Mooretown International Silver Stick starting on Thursday January 6th. The coaching staff continues to be impressed with the composure, dedication and determination of this squad and congratulate them on their accomplishment.
The juvy team would like to wish good luck to the Atom Reps who are currently competing in their Silver Stick with their next game in Wingham on Thursday night.....Go Capitals Go!!!!
