Juvy's Sweep Series!
The John Ernewein juveniles accomplished what they had set out to do.
Nursing a few injuries the guys wanted to finish off Port Perry and earn a much deserved weekend off. Wasting no time in the first period the guys got a power play marker at the 33 second mark followed by their second at the 5:16 mark. ending the first period with a 2 - 0 lead. Continuing with their strong forecheck they earned numerous power plays in the second but gave up a short handed marker at the 7:53 mark. Not letting that phase them the pressure continued until Walkerton scored again at the 5:32 mark to restore the two goal cushion. Walkerton went into the flood with a 3 - 1 lead. Again coming out in the third with the same determination the guys bulged the twine for the 4th time at 11:40 of the third. Port Perry added another short handed goal at 6:23 but never mounted anything further and the John Ernewein Juveniles skated away with a 4 - 2 victory, the series sweep and a birth in the OMHA semi-finals. The juvy's will now rest and wait for the winner of the Elmvale - Huntsville series which currently stands at one win apiece. Go Capitals Go!!
