John Ernewein Juveniles Draw First Blood
In a fast paced game the juvies overcame a slow start weathering the first 7 or 8 minutes of the game
and a 1 - 0 deficit after the first period. The guys got their skating legs and better puck movement in the second and were rewarded with two goals and a 2 - 1 lead heading into the flood. In the third they picked up where they left off and netted 2 more to stretch their lead to 4 -1. Each team exchanged goals later in the period and Walkerton skated away with the first game win (5 - 2) and the all important 1 - 0 series lead. On a quick turnaround time, the juvies will now head to New Hamburg tomorrow (Sunday) for a 3:00 pm game with the hopes of taking a strangle hold on the series. Go Capitals Go!!
