Juveniles are Mooretown Bound!
The John Ernewein Juveniles showed alot of heart and determination in there final round robin game.
One of the toughest things to have to do is to step out on the ice knowing you must win all 10 points in a game against an opponent that is already eliminated and execute it. Well the guys did exactly that. They won the points in the first with a 1 - 0 lead. In the second, things got interesting as South Huron scored to tie the match at the 5:37 mark. We didn't panic, we just dug a little deeper and scored our first of the second period at the 4:17 mark. This gave the guys some added spark and with 0:58 to go in the period they got their second marker and headed to the dressing room with four points and a three one lead. Once again South Huron came out in the third and opened the scoring at the 10:06 mark to put the pressure back on the juvies and again they responded by stepping up their game. The first of two goals came at the 5:00 minute mark and as Walkerton was about to pull the goalie for the sixth attacker they bulged the twine one more time at 1:09 and skated off with a much deserved victory and the all important 10 points. The entire coaching staff was extremely proud of the effort from the team. The finals are in Lucknow Sunday at 1:30 against Glanbrook. The guys have played Glanbrook once before and lost a tough one 1 - 0....it should be a great game. come on out and support the team. Go Capitals Go.
