Knights Girls Play Hard in Season Opener October 19
Knights of Columbus Atom B Girls came out to play their first season of the game, and let Mt Forest girls know that they meant business!
Our Atom B girls came out with their sticks and skates blazing for this early evening game! They played as a team right off the bat, with Courtney B scoring 2 in a row unassisted. Krista K evened out the first with an unassisted goal of her own, leaving the score 3-0 Walkerton.
The girls were still going strong into the second, when Courtney B sent a great pass out to Clair W for the 4th goal of the game. Courtney B then passed to Erika S for the 5th goal! Leaving the score 5-0 at the end of the 2nd.
The third period these girls meant business! A few minutes into the 3rd Krista K banged one in assisted by Hope D and Ally B. Followed quickly by another Erika S and Courtney B goal and assist. Nicole M got in on the action with her first of the night assisted by Claire W. It was then Ally B's turn for a goal, assisted by Courtney W and Hope D. Claire W got her second of the game, unassisted, and the game was rounded out with a final goal by Nicole M, her second of the game, assisted by Claire W, ending the game at an 11-0 score.
The super strong defence consisted of Erika S, Courtney W, Jordenne V and Georgina M. The goalie earning her first shut out on her first game of the year was Dana B. Superb forwards this year consist of Claire W, Courtney B, Brooklyn S, Krista K, Nicole M, Ally B, Bailey T, Hope D.
Great game ladies, way to work as a team!
