Reeves Cup Mt Forest January 2 2010
Our Atom B girls came out big for the game, as well as the skills competitions for the Annual Reeves Cup.

The Annual Reeves cup was help in Mt Forest, and our Atom B girls did their part for Walkerton, both winning the game, and taking the skills competitions by storm.

Skills competitions started off with the Fasted skater.  First up was Jordenne V, who stayed neck to neck throughout the race, but lost by mere milliseconds.  Next up was Courtney B, who skated a fast race, and beat her competition.  The 2 fastest skaters were up against each other, and again, Courtney B blew them away, taking home the title of fastest skater!!

Next Courtney W and Ally B competed for most accuracy, with points being awarded for hitting all 4 corners of the net.  Both girls did their best, and scored 2 points...and Mt Forest scored the same, ending this skill competition at a 2 all tie!  Good work ladies!

The last competition was for hardest shot.  Georgina M and Erika S were up in this competition, and Mt Forest didn't have a chance!  Erika's hardest shot was 31 mph, and Georgina's was 37, leaving her the title of Hardest Shooter.  Way to work girls!!

On to the game!

Our girls were fired up and ready to play after taking the skills competition by storm.  The kept the play in the Mt Forest end, and the Mt Forest goalie didn't get any breaks.  Finally Krista K slammed one in, assisted by Erika S and Brooklyn S.  Courtney B found the back of the net at the end of the first, helped out by Sophie B.

The second period was hard fought, with most play being in the Mt Forest end, but ended scoreless.  Still 2-0 for Walkerton.

The girls weren't done yet, they came out in the 3rd meaning business!  Hope D slipped one past with help from Nicole M, followed up by Sophie B's goal, assisted by Krista K.

As always, Claire W was stellar between the pipes, earning herself another shut out!

Way to go girls!!
